Owners Tim and Jennifer started blazing their own path together in 2011 and have continued their adventure through marriage, parenting, full-time careers, and now as full-time business owners.
They have a love for their family, animals, the outdoors, North Carolina, and their home state of West Virginia.
Through hard work, perseverance, and dedication they exemplify the core values of their newly formed company.
Creating Blaze Surveying and Mapping, PLLC is not only an achievement they are incredibly proud of, but also a testament to their diligence and determination.
Meet Tim
Our team is led by Tim Griffith, who holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography from West Virginia University and is licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors (NCBELS). In addition, he is licensed as a Land Surveyor (LS) in Virginia by the Commonwealth of Virginia Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, Certified Interior Designers and Landscape Architects (APELSCIDLA). He also holds an FAA UAS Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
With 21 years of experience in survey, encompassing both field and office work, he brings knowledge you can trust. He has worked on an expansive array of projects and has served as survey director for multi-state and nationwide firms.
With his vast experience in field and office preparation of ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, land records research, title report review and coordination, topographic surveys, construction stakeout, subsurface utility mapping, hydrographic surveys, as-built submissions, pipeline as-built surveys, and VDOT/NCDOT transportation surveys, he has the knowledge, confidence, and ability to manage your project.
Tim leads our team to success with his experience in directing survey projects from conception to completion.
Meet Jennifer
Our team is joined by Jennifer Griffith who holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a focus in Advertising from West Virginia University. She is certified by the National Society of Professional Surveyors as a Level 1 Certified Survey Technician.
She brings over 20 years of administrative background, customer service, billing, data entry and data management. Her experience in managerial roles has allowed her to hone her skills for leadership, listening to client needs, providing exceptional customer service, managing time-sensitive projects, and handling escalated issues.
She is an integral part of the field and office team and executes land surveying projects from start to finish.
